    Meeting notes, courtesy of Sue…

This was slightly different from previous meeting, agenda set by the club and not determined by the moan and groan submissions by reps. The meeting was helped along by a projected compute presentation and was led by Joe Clutterbrook and other lead members of Hull City staff

First thing by the club was an update on the abrupt departure of Tan Keslar, a statement will soon be forthcoming on the vacant role and the way forward in staffing by the club. No other discussion took place re Tans departure and was not questioned as I doubt we would have got the run down on why.

Goal Music, The club decided after lots of feedback, to play music during the whole of the game and only stop it when a goal is scored so fans can create the atmosphere! Only Joking. Goal music is binned as a none starter.

Website The club are updating the website to create a single sign in for all users. Thus will no longer have to sign in to main hub, then leisure store, then tickets, then tigers tv. One single sign in will give access to all.

Tickets/Ticketmaster Ticketmaster are the largest company within sport now and the club will remain with them, the last company withdrew all sporting support thus the reason for moving over. Most issues have been fixed and further improvements will be made during regular updates to the system. Ticket forwarding will be introduced very soon giving the ability for folks to update their tickets, change membership tickets from child to adult etc. All these details and what changes to ticketing will be released once up and running. Disabled ticketing is being added to the system.

Disability Platforms Recently, all loose 'carers' seats were removed from disabled platforms as they were in breach of health and safety guidelines. The club, in conjunction with our disabled section, have been quick to rectify this and have now put in 'fixed' seating which has gone down well will those that use them.

Context of Statement re supporter behaviour. The club found it necessary to put out a statement regards supporter behaviour due to the rise of poor behaviour and the number of complaints/reports received. Multi faceted but those discussed were the rise in drug use within the stadia, physical assaults, threats and verbal abuse to other fans and club staff, and online abuse and racial comments. numerous 'offenders' have been identified and dealt with accordingly. Club are using programmes available to them such as 'kick it out' workshops in a hope to give the offender the opportunity to see the error of their ways and remain rather then giving banning orders, however persistent offenders and bad offences can result in a banning order. The club have state of the art cctv and can ID folk in every stand.

A pro forma form is going to be added to the club website to allow fans to report incidents/Inappropriate behaviour when the need arises and will be anonymous. Fans are encouraged to report incidents and in the meantime use the reporting phone number displayed on the large screens on matchdays.

Persistent Standing Statement was a direction from the EFL and sent be numerous clubs to supporters. EFL are clamping down on club breaches and are visiting clubs on an ad hoc basis several times a season, we as a club, risk a large fine from the EFL followed by 'block' closure then 'stand' closure if the club dont stop the problem. The club are actively moving forward with rail seating for safe standing. and a consultation is ongoing. watch this space.

Catering Lots of new staff were taken on at the start of the season and the club states it has taken a few games for them to get up to speed so hopefully the slow service some have experienced will get better. Complaints re the very small kiosk South/west corner and large ques develop, the kiosk is being extended and more equipment is being installed as we speak

Menu's, there will soon be an app with menus for fans to browse, this will also contain details of nutrional values for those with dietry needs. In the meantime, anyone needing to know calories etc can contact the club who will supply the info, Brendon Smurthwaite and Leanne Jensen would be a good start from the contact page of the website. or email club FAO, the catering dept who Im sure will provide info required.

The end of the meeting was highlighting a few minor points brought up be fans, west upper shelving which as previously discussed, cannot be made bigger due to the width of the upper concourse. A couple of small maintenance matters that the smc took on board to sort prior to next match. A few praises, eg the new turnstile ticket readers, quick and easy, food, as usual.

As I stated, this was a short club led meeting which ended with a few ideas of the way forward, Club are looking at joining the model of the 'fan experience company' (google for info) and creating working groups to focus on particular areas to enhance fan experience, thus another meeting is in the planning for late December.

In the meantime, if you have any issues at all relating to matchdays, report it to the club via the contact page on the club website or send me the issue/question and I will endeavour to sort it for you.

Short and sweet but there you go, If Ive missed anything, Im sure other reps will add too or let me know so I can further these note. Sorry its been so long coming but been a few difficult days for me

'Carers' are now known as Personal Assistants, how very modern. :emoticon-0138-think

Glad to hear we are looking at safe standing , presumably in the North Stand

Not sure why it's the EFL that are bothered about standing

Meeting taking place tonight, the East stand rep emailed me today stating my question will be asked. I'm fairly certain it won't be asked in the way I phrased it. :emoticon-0138-think

Be interesting to see if anyone asks about the concerns over current political climate in Turkey.

Nah, it's about the lights on the walkway, seldom all working, and the vegetation that's encroached on to it. The brambles and bushes should be cut back on a regular basis, better still cut the vegetation three feet or so back from the fences. I expect they'll blame it on the council, if so they need to pressure the council to get it sorted. :emoticon-0138-think

All sounds a bit sterile to me. Inform on anyone you think is causing a nuisance, every fan can be ID'd by the state of the art CCTV, etc etc etc, don't stand up because we are checking on you, and so on. Its football but not as we remember it ( and fell in love with)

Those branches encroaching the footpath seem to have been like it for years. Over time I've learned to anticipate how the biggest one will twang back towards me after somebody unknowingly drags it forward with them whilst walking past. It's part of the traditional matchday at this point.

I think people must underestimate how hard it is to do.

Not necessarily the accuracy of actually hitting the bar, but even just kicking a ball a reasonable distance through the air in vaguely the right direction. To do that requires a lot of power or very proficient technique. Most people don't have the latter, and when going for the former they end up trying so hard that their technique goes out the window and it veers off towards the corner flag. Assuming they don't fall over in their trainers on the greasy wet pitch.

That guy was a semi-pro player at the time. I remember recognising his name as the announcer read it out. And then he dinged it like that.

This time around they stipulate that you can't be a pro, semi-pro or ex-pro.

Yep, the right footwear helps a lot. If you know you’re in that competition your at least turning up in a pair of 3G boots that you could pass off as trainers surely.

That state of the art CCTV didn’t manage to identify any bottle throwing rugby hooligans. Or maybe the police aren’t bothered about nicking rugby league fans?

9 months until the next meeting feels excessive.

Any update on training ground or academy move?
