The judge must have backed one of the other fancied horses. The guy who owns Native Khan sounds like a bit of a jerk.
Good, serves him right for breaking a contract. If I did it to work for a rival I would also be banned for a set amount of time.
Oh, a bit more on the story, he signed a contract in Ed Dunlop's office so it was a clear case for the courts, the idea of bringing punters into it was thrown out this morning and they reversed the decision because of this.
Hi guys im not a racing fan in genral but this has been in the news so is there any chane someone can explain this
He agreed to ride one horse, he has been prepping that horse all season. He then at the last minute goes to ride the other horse (Recital) breaking a written contract and then the court case starts.
So there will be no âKingâ Kieren in the Derby this afternoon. It would appear that there was a contract, which makes me wonder how the case needed an appeal. It will not make any difference to Recital. He will not be winning for Pat Smullen and the Fallon fan club will not be piling their cash on.
Funny how fate can work. Johnny Murtagh takes Fallon's job at AOB's stable; then Fallon gets to ride for AOB in the Oaks yesterday- but loses out to Murtagh on Dancing Rain. The question is...will fate deal Fallon a double whammy?.... It certainly will do if either Native Khan or Recital wins the Derby. Maybe they'll dead heat!!!
Can now see why the looked for an injunction with there being a written contract, not that i agree with it but i can see there point. One question though, why the hell is fallon signing himself into a contract like this especially when there is no fee for him? Crazy.
