Porto striker Radamel Falcao's agent had said the player would be happy to move to Chelsea if his current manager Andre Villas-Boas becomes the Blues' new boss, according to Sky Sports. Chelsea are believed to be close to appointing the young Portuguese coach - dubbed the new Mourinho - as Carlo Ancelotti's successor at Stamford Bridge. Speculation had linked him with an immediate move for Falcao if he does get the job, and it now seems that the player would be happy to go with his boss. Villas-Boas, aged 33, is believed to be mulling over Chelsea's offer after Roman Abramovich made him the club's number one target. And if he accepts Falcao's Colombian agent, Claudio Mossi, has confirmed his player would be a natural option for a move to the Premier League. He told The Sun: "If Villas Boas is the new coach of Chelsea it is normal for players that are closest to follow him." Premier League rivals Tottenham and Arsenal have both been linked with striker Falcao in recent times.
It's inevitable and perhaps a little bit of lazy journelism to assume we will go after half the Porto squad if / when Boas comes in. However they do have some quality players so can't rule it out. Falcao and/or Hulk would grace most teams.
