Do we have to have this question posted every week?
I will give the same reply as always. Yes I have faith 85% of the time. He says the right things. I can see logic in what he does (95% of the time) and I like the way he goes about most things, openly, honestly and with the time to answer questions. I feel that he needs to address certain areas but I also think he has been let down too often by individual mistakes from his players. His ideas surrounding subs and the constant issues at GK along with a lack of RB being the main failings.
I also think alot of people have made far too bigger deal of rumours without any substance to them (For example the slating he got before the Leeds game for dropping Hyam and replacing him with the old captain, Which of course didnt happen but alot of you couldnt wait to get the boot in)
We have underperformed and if we had got our act together earlier we probably should have been top 6 as the league is nothing special but the signs are there that we have a view of moving forward, the clubs seems together and there has been no rumours of arguments or anxieties about anything other than our position. I said at the start of the season I would be happy with a top half finish and signs of progess. The 'signs' may have taken some time to show but the last 3 performances have shown a pleasing style and as has been the case for 95% of the season if we could cut out individual mistakes we would be as happy as a pig in poo

As far as the Dostoevsky quote goes, I’m on the side of the crew that has to see the evidence first, and even then I won’t be entirely convinced – at least not having suffered over a year of PJ’s reign.

In the EADT story here, http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town/paul_jewell_looks_to_build_a_core_at_ipswich_town_1_1195977 he says:

“Jewell said: “This season we have spent searching for the right formation, searching for the right formula, almost hoping something clicks”.”

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that after the shambolic performances we’ve seen (if we discount the possibility that our defence has been nobbled by some Far Eastern gambling ring) that PJ and his merry men have been acting on mere impulse; thrashing about trying this, trying that, hoping to Christ something will eventually work. Not for us a plan, a philosophy, assured leadership, a coaching team that knows what it’s doing.

No – we are content to meander cluelessly about until something works. That’s what it’s looked like and that’s what it is.

An amazing run still won’t convince me, neither will the assembling of a good, young team. It’ll cheer me up, but it won’t convince me. Not about this feller and his friends.
