Apart from a dire first half on your part you picked up massively in the second and look a good outfit.. Great atmosphere among your end, and you didn't react when our idiots poured onto the pitch Goodluck for the rest of the season (I don't really mean that)
Can't argue with any of that Lanny You are clearly a good team and deserved your win, but I'm glad that we gave you a game in the 2nd half. I reciprocate (difficult word to spell when pissed, as I am) your wishes for the season. (and I don't mean that either )
I've always thought that getting divorced (obviously without kids involved) might be a laugh and getting back out on the market again would be great. But my wife just won't let me do it !
I did go off the rails, but my Mrs now got me cleaned up fairly quick and out me back on the straight and narrow
fair shout lan i knew JET would be a handfull. i was saying on another thread yesterday that we need to man mark him and get him frustrated as he can blow hot and cold. instead we gave him all the room in the world and his confidence grew more and more. not the player you want against you who is on form. at 1-1 i was confident that we could snatch the game until baldock came on. i got really worried at that point. you do have some good players. your defence looks shaky though to me.
Was surprised at how "****e" you were in the first half, but made a game of it in the second half scored a good goal while we scored 2 crackers
I'd thought you'd nick it as well, I was just waiting for it.. Even when we scored i'd thought you'd get one back I'm sure you're like me and just glad to get it over with, and concentrate in next league games
i swear if there was 5 more mins we then would have got another goal. we were banging on the door! i hope we go up to face you next season. these are great games but after tonights game, i wouldnt be surprised if they make our games bubble matches. mindless twats ruining for the rest of us.
Personally I hope we never play you again, those games are too tense for my liking.. I think i'd prefer Stevenage at home thanks
I LOVE playing C*ty. Let's face it, it gives us all a massive buzz. I like watching quality football in the Premiership or Champions League, but nothing can replace the feeling that you get with the build up, actual game, and aftermath of a Bristol derby. Let's hope there's more to come next season
You wait to see what it feels like to lose, but when we went on the 11 match against them where we couldn't ever see us winning again. That was tense horrible horrible time, the Louis Donawa goal in the 86th ended that period of hurt which brought the hardest 4 + minutes of the most tense I have ever felt in a derby game. Both teams had good youth last night, I think both got good managers and I think Bristol will soon see 2 teams playing at least in the Championship soon. As long as both set of fans allow these things to happen and not get frustrated to turn on the teams before they both ready. It's the fans frustrations that have been too quick to turn and wanting quick fixes all the time.
Well said ROD. There were some good signs on view last night. Come the end the game could have gone either way. Both teams will need to be a bit quicker to adopt a style of play which nullifies the opponents tactics, but with young sides, they will learn. As I have said elsewhere, I compliment the players on keeping the game competitive but fair.
Really? All the build up to the game was brilliant, Winning was a great feeling last night. Mind you, I would always rather be in a higher league than the gas Cup games will do
