Probably meant something along the lines of it wouldn't be the same without United and Liverpool. I'm inclined to agree with that.

He just meant we're the two biggest clubs in the league mate, forget your Chelsea, Man City's etc, this is the fixture and we are the two greatest clubs in the league You after us of course
I agree with that. However if us or Liverpool hadn't been there then another club would have been. In regards to the chants etc, they are always going to happen as every club has dickhead fans.
ferguson knows what he set out to do and in the end his dominance in chasing down our records is what created the hype that brought the forgien money and glory hunters in. simply put if the prem was formed in 1992 on the back of new tv money that was attracted in. both clubs have a part to play but hey arsenal have as big a part of it as anyone right back to the 30s.... leeds too. I think his point in fairness could read as it'd just not be the same with either side on their own. the rivalry has driven him to win more and our club has had its own rivalries too as we wnet after leagues. ferguson points out the important thing. its a game to look forward to but it's still only one game. while some hammer on about inter club rivalries I just want to see a once in a decade game here.... like always. sometimes the fixture fails to deliver that.
Ferguson is totally right. There's no need whatsoever for any references to Munich or Hillsborough. It's up to us fans on both sides to shut the dickheads up! As for the history and intensity of the rivalry then it is a large part of what makes British football good.
Everybody on this forum knows about my pure hatred for everything that is Manchester United. I do know at times I have a tendency to go a bit too far. Its my love for Liverpool and my desire to defend them when they are mocked that makes me retaliate. However there is hatred and there is wishing Manchester United would go bust. Some of us tongue in cheek would want them to get into financial difficulty, but go out of existence. No chance, the fun would go out of football if there were no Manchester United. Personally I wouldn't even wish they got relegated, if they weren't in the same league, the fun would go out of it. There is certain clubs that for particular reasons should be top flight clubs. The premiership was missing something when Manchester City were absent. Its missing something whilst Leeds are absent. I personally would love to see Leeds back. Their fans would never admit it, but without Liverpool life would be boring, even though they taunted us with ''you're going into administration and you're going to be deducted 9 points'' They did not want Liverpool to go under, that much is certain.

I have been in England on numerous occasions, and have been to Anfield, And I can tell you where the best drinking areas are in Liverpool. I've also been in Manchester too.
Nah I didn't do the stadium tour. If you knew anything, the stadium tour isn't on match-day. I was at Liverpool vs Sunderland in 2002, and it was a bore 0-0 draw. I was in Manchester, not Salford so there wasn't a need to burn it down. I was on the the gargle with a bunch of City fans, it was 2002 and it was the week after the ''Maine Road Massacre'', City won 3-1. Gary Neville ''fed the goat''. King Kev was City manager.
Agreed. The worst thing is that he sometimes seems quite knowledgable about football but then he ruins it with the usual anti United bollocks. I was actually suprised when I saw that post.
