I'm normally of the opinion that fans shouldn't slag the performances of rival teams in competitions that their own team wasn't good enough to qualify for. There's nothing more pathetic than Scotland fans laughing at England's dismal showing at the finals of a major tournament, or Celtic fans making sarky comments about Rangers' results in the Champions League. However, given the nature of Celtic's admission into the group stages of the Europa League, would fellow Gers fans agree with me that Celtic are fair game this season and we should rip the pish out of their EL results with impunity?
Translation: Last season, I wanted to stick it to Timmy about being pumped out of Europe twice and how they should back their champions in Europe. Now the boot's on the other foot, I'm looking for any excuse for avoiding my previous plea for the moral high ground. BEEP BEEP this Hun is reversing BEEP BEEP
its healthy to want to see your rivals get ****ed in europe i feel **** the coefficient - a 5 minute laugh is better I wouldnt want it any other way, and wouldnt think you'd expect any difference if you were in our shoes
As much as I would like to see them pick up co-efficient points, I can't see them getting much out of that group. Maybe a draw or 2 if Lenny takes a leaf out of Walters book. I'm sure I will rub their noses in it if they get a proper hammering or do something totally ridiculous in a game (Lenny running on to the pitch, daisy-chain defending etc.)
We won our last two European games convincingly....why would we want to copy a defeatist European style like Walters?
I'm too depressed about Scottish football to actually care now. I've got a ticket for Sunday and I'm in 2 minds whether to go or not.
Nothing anyone can say will change how people act, it's human nature to want your greatest rivals to fail.
