The real difference was in attack Where at times they had us on the rack, We did what we could Which often was good But no way could we prevent this crack They did just have that extra gear Which we found it hard to get near, And yet for a spell In each half we did well So 6 - 1´s a bit hard to bear But fair´s fair, they shone on the day With some pretty spectacular play, And when in that mood They´re a dangerous brood For anyone, home or away But we helped them ourselves at times Which made the mountain we´d to climb, Just that bit too high But none can deny For seventy mins we did fine And after watching the game twice 1 - 6 was still too big a price, To pay, but we know That is how it goes Sometimes, but it´s still never nice. OTBC No doubt the usual suspects will keep on reminding us about it for weeks on end, but only because they´ve got nothing to rave about themselves, so chins up, and have a good week all Yours,
good peom as always rbf, we did play well and at 2-1 anything could have happened, no complaints they were the better team and I dont mind really we have come so far so quick to get a spanking from the top side is ok, I am sure Lambo and crew would learn from it. Proud to be Yellow
We came close to getting something from the game until they brought on Ya Ya - he provided the final piece in the jigsaw! Enjoyed the poetry as always, sir, have a good week and bring on Blackburn!
Hi RBF bor, good summing up of the game. Been there before, can even remember us losing at home to a Colchester side 7-1. We pulled up our sleeves and got over that debacle and surged forward. To thwart any comments from our country cousins, can remember them losing 7-0 to Preston and they still haven't got over the repercussions from that game. All teams have to learn how to handle adversity, we have proven in the past to us that is no problem.
Too true NORKIE, would love to hear from anyone who was directly in front of that shot from Tevez which led to their 1st goal, to know what, and just how much it did in the air to fool Ruddy, because it was impossible to tell from the tv pictures.
