If people judge Jonas simply on his stats, then I'm happy, because they'll fail to see everything else he offers and therefore no bids in for him

Jonas may only get 5/6 assists a season, and only 2/3 goals but he plays a big part in the team. He wins us free kicks, which was a big source of goals for us last season. He probably won 80% of the free kicks that we created goals from last season.

He's too quick and too good of a dribbler, and gets hacked a lot.

He also tracks back well, and his work rate is one of the best in the squad.

The reason for Jonas' slow start this season is because he's having to cover Ryan Taylor a lot. When Santon comes in, Jonas may have more time to come forward and scare the **** out of right backs once more

 

That being by far the best quality that he brings to the team

 

Fingers crossed! Love Jonas.

HMT you're absolutely right in that he gives so much more to the team than people give him credit for or his statistics show. Don't think he's had his best season in an attacking sense but he's definitely been covering for Raylor so fingers crossed it won't last.

Why are you telling us this? We had to drill these points into you for ages because judging him by his stats was exactly what you used to do

 

I didn't actually. I didn't think he was good before, because he wasn't, IMO. But over the course of last PL season, he improved quite a bit and i began to like him.

 

Surely this is a joke?

He posted it like 5 mins before the announcement. How do i know? because i got the top comment, then heard about it and went back to mock him some more

Gives everything for the toon, what more can you ask for? Id be more annoyed at losing Jonas than Carroll. Jonas and Colo will be honorary Geordies like Nobby and Antoine Sibierski by the time he retires

 

Agree, those two can be legends in their own right if Colo gets an extension as well.

 

One of my pet hates about our fan base are the random Jonas haters, it's usually the pessimists that somehow always sits behind you at games...

 

Theres always someone near you screaming at him for being **** at crossing, which is fair enough really.

 

But he offers so much more than that.

Still hate them guys that just rant about how **** our players are for the full game, even had a guy rippling into Ben Arfa sitting behind me during the Blackburn game!
