With Ian Holloway and Blackpool having been fined 25 grand by the faceless men at the FA for fielding what they deemed to be a weakened team in the recent match against Aston Villa, how many of you supporters up and down the country are in full agreement with both Holloway and the club appealing. I for one, am with them on this matter. Earlier this season each premier league club was asked to submit a list of 25 names from which their respective teams would be selected. So how the hell does this work if the faceless ones then decide who is the better player. Obviously there are many things to put in the equation when selecting a team and the opposition will be one of those factors. No manager in his right mind intentionally puts out a side to lose a match. Should their appeal fail, which I feel it will, as these buffoons have little knowledge of day to day running of a club, then I think that they should appeal to the court of arbitration and failing that to the High Court. Last but not least the managers/chairmen of the clubs should give these idiots a no confidence vote, throw them on the scrap heap and install a new regime who know what the hell they are doing. Holloway and Blackpool FC go for it. I doubt you will come across many detractors.
I agree with you, the fact that you name your sqaud should give you the right to play then as you see fit. It would be great if Bpool won their appeal....... but I doubt it. As for further appeals, arbitration, no confidence vote etc again I cannot see that happening. Not sure what the answer is and hope that someone of greater wisdom then I comes up with one soon.
5 from me, Holloway and Blackpool have every right to challenge this all the way. What the hell is the point of the 25 man squad?!
