Just clicked onto the official QPR Facebook page and more specifically, the Ji-Sung Park signing. There are LOADS of Korean/Far Eastern sounding names going potty about the signing. What a great move by Fernandes!!

To us, he may just be a Manchester United substitute, but in the Far East, he's the messiah. In fact, Ji-Sung translates into the Korean language as 'Brian'...

Joking aside, I didn't realise he was THAT big. Fantastic piece of PR work!!

A few posts off facebook which in an instant sums up why we paid what we did for a decent player. The ill informed muppets on Talksport can shut up!!

Jung Hwan Hyun QPR 2012-2013 season will be the next champ.
Because, the QPR became south korea's beloved club. kkkk :)

Seungdo Hyun I am a big fan of JS Park from South Korea. I wish QPR and his new journey there luck. Since I am in Korea, I couldn't be there but I will be always a part of every single QPR's games supporting cheering my new team. Let's go!

That's why I said he's a huge signing for this football club. He will reap millions back into QPR & be a key player while doing it

He's captain of the South Korean team, so why not...and it would go down well in the Far East

Thats unbelieveable. United have 27M fans in Korea. Even if we only take 1% of them, thats 270,000 extra fans. Wow.

And if 10% of them buy the official shirt then that's ₩2394711000.00 (SK Won), or 1.35 million pounds. Or, to use a symbol I don't have to cut and paste, $2094795.

Which, at about, say, 50k/week, would be half his wages paid for the season!

Another huge factor here is New Malden in Surrey. It has the largest population of South Koreans outside of Seoul. New Malden is but 10 - 12 miles from Loftus Road. Expect to see our Asian friends turning up in there droves next season. This is also a huge potential element for future generations of Rs. Best get your season tickets asap ladies and gents.
