Looks like Fabio is coming. And West Ham taking Jääskeläinen could mean Green really is on his way out... Fabio on brink of QPR switch, Chelsea go cold on Modric and Jussi set for Hammers FABIO Manchester United to QPR THE INSIDER says: 4/5 please log in to view this image The Brazilian full-back was destined for a switch to Benfica and he and his family were keen on a move to a club with such strong South American ties. However, United believe a move within the Premier League would be best suited to his development and Mark Hughes is eager to take him to QPR where he hopes the 21-year-old's attacking prowess can be put to good use. Under Mark Bowen's tutelage he should also develop defensively which has been his major flaw while at United. Hughes wants to add another five players as he revolutionises his squad LUKA MODRIC Tottenham to Chelsea THE INSIDER says: 1/5 please log in to view this image The 26-year-old seems settled on his departure from White Hart Lane and Tottenham realise he may be their best opportunity to bring in fresh revenue to invest elsewhere in the squad. A move to Chelsea would have represented the best chance of getting the price they desired but the Blues have other deals in mind. Manchester United remain keen but would be reluctant to bid beyond £30million while Real Madrid like him but are juggling other targets too. It's not ideal but Tottenham may have to accept his value has fallen and take a United offer JUSSI JAASKELAINEN Bolton to West Ham THE INSIDER says: 5/5 please log in to view this image The 37-year-old was wanted by West Bromwich Albion but the trust he has in former manager Sam Allardyce means he will join West Ham. He turned down a new two-year deal at Bolton after growing frustrated at being No 2 to Adam Bogdan and was made an offer by West Bromwich but their uncertainty over appointing a new boss accelerated his decision. Allardyce may still look for another keeper as Rob Green is far from certain to stay at Upton Park while West Bromwich want two themselves with Craig Gordon still on their list CARLOS CUELLAR Aston Villa to Sunderland THE INSIDER says: 4/5 please log in to view this image Talks are under way for the Spaniard to join former boss Martin O'Neill and early indications are that a deal should be swiftly resolved. Sunderland lost Sotirios Kyrgiakos and will consider offers for Titus Bramble and Michael Turner so need extra bodies and O'Neill prefers experienced performers. Reading had also considered 30-year-old Cuellar but they may pursue a deal for Bordeaux full-back Matthieu Chalme, 31, who could be allowed to leave on a free. O'Neill will also talk to Wigan's Momo Diame http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2152674/Transfer-latest-The-Insider--Fabio-set-QPR-switch.html
Fairly good news if true...could be a promising addition to the squad, although I am not too keen on the temperament of either of the United samba twins. Would be keen on us taking a look at Cuellar as well...seems a decent player.
Never really rated him or his brother really. Neither have shown much when I have seen them on numerous occasions - and they nearly always get subbed off with a injury. Also, that article worries me - where is says Bowen could help his defensive abilities which are lacking - we need players who can defend! But if we sign him, i guess he wont take up a place in the 25 which is always a bonus. Will give him a chance for sure.
They said the same about Traore, teaching them to defend is much easier to do than teaching them to attack which they cant do without natural talent. 2 Pacy FBs, both attacking will be great, certainly better than Hill and Young. Not taking a squad place is a big bonus too.
I don't have any problem with signing players like this and can see his potential. Is it just me or does it sound like a loan deal which doesn't really float my boat. Also, we do seem to be a bit obsessed with left backs at the moment. Traore must be brimming with confidence at this.
Not too sure on this one. I think we just have to trust Sparky and Co. They haven't let us down with who they've brought in so far.
Fabio isnt a LB by trade and is not left footed.I think he has looked shaky at LB when Ive watched him. Must play RB. I dont get why so many think Taiwoo is that good?. He is a fairly decent left back, but I would prefer a bit more quality at LB and have him as back up. For someone so big,hes shocking in the air!
