He needs a goal and bloody quickly, he's lacking conviction in front of goal and desperately needs to get off the mark then I think he'll do ok.
nope. never will. Him and Lens need a rocket up their arse/substantially improve, as neither are up to the challenge at the mo. It's more frustrating with these two, coz they have obvious talent/ability.
Yeah, him n'all. but he isn't a deep c.midfielder so was out of position yesterday. add AJ and Rodders to the list of 'must try/apply themselves' better. At least both had a positive impact yesterday, just not enough of an impact. And they need to do that over several games. Watmore just needs to learn, but he's smart enough to do that over more games. Players like Graham, Gomez don't have the top-level ability, but you can't fault DG for trying. I'd happily see them replaced in Jan, along with Brown, as they're just a waste of salary - I'm sure everyone would.
Borini looks to me like he could play all season and still not score, I would replace him. He doesn't score and doesn't create chances, apparently he works hard though. Toivonen should be sent back to Rennes. I really don't rate the bloke and think he looks a bit like a girl.
Blasphemy! Toi will send you marching up the league in no time. Play him as an AM (in a diamond with M'Vila at the base) and he will fly!
Borini is a decent player he's just never had a chance via injury to get going. I think what we paid is about right and over time he'll be a decent signing, he'd score a fair amount in the Championship....
Wickham got a standing ovation yesterday. Yet to score still but think hes winning the palace fans over.
Still glad he's gone, he will never be worth what we, then Palace paid for the lad. His hold up play looks much improved, has to be said. Guess we coach people on how to treat the ball like lava.
Have you watched much of palace apart from playing us? Looking ****ing decent mind. Pardew is doing a cracking job.
Yeah fair bit, they genuinely are a decent side, even the unsung players at the back etc are very solid and decent enough on the ball. If they keep the team together and add to, they could be very, very good, very soon.
He inherited a very decent side, but he does seem to be managing them well, maybe more so because to an extent it's a club in his heart. He's conducting himself a lot better as well, although the time to gauge will be if they have a slight wobble.
I don't think he's worth what we paid, never rated the lad tbh. Seemed like a panic buy to me, and was confirmed shortly after the window closed, I think it was Congers (or somebody in that sort of department) who was quoted saying something like "he wasn't what we needed but he was available" Yes he scored a few last time around, but they were mostly penalties. I'm of the opinion they don't really count as more than likely someone else could have stepped up and put them away. How many did he get from open play? 3 or 4 in 40 games? Poor for a striker / winger.
Best performance this season so far? For me last week. When Stoke (first half) tore City to shreds. Fantastic.
