Not on the wind up, just want any observations on the lad.

Should he have left Chelsea when he did, should you have given him more game time, have you followed his further career and so on.

He was an excellent product of our youth system under Brendan Rodgers! Like so many of the guys who were his contemporaries he got precious few chances to graduate to the 1st team! I used to watch him regularly on Chelsea TV and he stood out in the junior team!
 
I thought he was going to make it here! You've got a decent forward and one that suits Brendan's side to a tee.

From what i've read and the views of Chelsea fans, he sounds like a decent player. Just a quick question...

What was the deal with his departure from Chelsea? I remember reading somewhere that Chelsea wanted to keep him and he wanted to play and didn't feel that he would get the chances ahead of the likes of Torres, Drogba (Before he left) and Sturridge etc.

Is that right or did you let him go?

One interesting story in his time at Chelsea was a game he played in our reserves against West Ham. We went in at half time 3-0 down. He scored 5 times in the second half in a game we ended up winning 5-4! His departure from SB was almost certainly due to following Anton Rodgers who has always been his mentor!
 
Borini wanted to go to play at a higher level. A right decision by him I feel. Chelsea made a stunning misjudgement I feel in not doing more to keep him.
 
He won't be a new Ian Rush I'm sure, well not straight away, anything can happen in football. He may pop a cruciate in his first match and never be heard of again. No young player should be expected to lead the way for a team such as Liverpool, but I sure as with Scott Sinclair he was sacrificed for the need by Chelsea to have proven pros in the first team. RDM has shown with Bertrand how misguided this policy is. Youngsters will make mistakes, but it's whether they learn quickly from them. Malouda. When is he going to learn from his? Borini has more then just skill and the strength to deal with the English game in which he has been steeped in since a teen. He also has desire and passion. Malouda. When was he last seen playing his heart out, especially when we are losing?
 
I always thought he would easily make the step up, but like too many others ,he never got the opportunity.We really are lousy with our youth, and I would never advise any youngster to come to Chelsea, its a complete waste of time.
Robby is quoted as saying this is going to change, and I wish him luck.
Our owner has so far been too "brand" conscious, only going for names and big transfer fees.
Liverpool may just have got themselves a very good player.
