What is Rogers going to do when he runs out of his former players?

Borini is a great player but he should turn up at liverpool when rodgers has finished changing the style of play there. He would be a waste in the current set up and im sure the yanks wont be happy with £35m quid on the bench every week

Liverpool are shortly going to be known as the Swansea City of northern england, but they will never be known as the Barcelona of the premiership,

imitation ,the best form of flattery as long as that's the end of Rodgers involvement in our either ex or current players then so be it

Rogers is turning into a joke. He'll be looking at Pintado next.

Why shouldn't Rodgers look at former players he's worked with? Don't most new managers do that? Why on earth should we be concerned at his interest in ex Swans? Thing is, Liverpool can afford the guy and we couldn't. Not nice, but a pretty inescapable fact.

I'm rather more concerned at who Laudrup might bring in. Aren't you?

So the answer is 'Great player who will do well at Liverpool. Good luck to him'. <ok>

KJ, we could afford him, hence the agreement.

I don't think anyone is concerned by the fact he's looking at ex swans, but it's funny that he's looking to bring in Gylfi, Caulker, Borini, Allen, Williams......can't possibly look at other players lol.

"he's looking to bring in Gylfi, Caulker, Borini, Allen, Williams"

Source? Have I missed something? Last time I looked he can't bring in Swans players for 12 months at least. Do you want that extended to ex Swans too? <laugh>

    Caulker - ex-Swan (loanee)
    Siggy - ex-Swan (loanee)
    Borini - ex-Swan (loanee)

Nothing preventing him from doing anything with those players.

If Borini is worth £35M as suggested then how do you say we could afford him?

Brendan brought in Priskin on loan, so he'll be next on Liverpool's radar :emoticon-0112-wonde

He can't bring in Swansea players, correct, but as the papers said, he'll come in when the agreement is over. It's also all over the web that he's keen on Caulker, we know he's after Siggy, and this thread is about Pool being interested in Borini.

Come on, we all know he will. Papers aside, come 12 months time, he'll be bidding.

Whether Rodgers bids for any of our players in 12 months time depends upon lots of things. Many on here think he'll be sacked by then, so not an issue. But if he has already put a great team together he may not want any of our players. No-one knows at this stage so no point worrying about it. Even if Brendan doesn't want any of our players, other teams will certainly want them. And we'll want players from other teams. That's football.

totally agree here. Brendan can do what and go for any player he likes now, he is liverpool's manager now and his job is to do the best for them and not ponder to our wishes, Its laudrups job now to do the best he can for the swans.....its fair game in love and war.....We should have made more of an effort to bring Borini here in the first place...
