Hope this does not mean Mannone will be recalled by Wenger later in the month! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/9386086.stm
He still has Almunia and Szczesny so unless one of them also get injured I doubt we're in any danger of losing him.
He has also been using a young lad on the bench in recent games, james shea. So hopefully he'll consider those three enough cover.
Teams usually have 3 keepers but surely unless one of the others is ruled out, they won't need to recall Mannone (considering it's 24 hour notice) Anyone know the clauses of the loan? Can he actually be called back?
I like Mannone but don't believe he is top flight (ie good enough for Arsenal in the long term) I personally think Wenger will be happy to get a decent fee for him (a la Jay Simpson). One of Wengers strengths is his ability to pick up young players cheaply who either make the grade or get him a decent cash return for time invested.
We only paid ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã50k up front for Simpson, I very much doubt we'll get Mannone for that!!
i doubt wenger would recall him also i think mannone may have a say in it also he told wenger before he wasnt happy playing back up to others
