I shall certainly be going to the home leg, and i hope we get a big turnout! What a achievement by Neil Adams, Gary Holt and the lads
I always thought 'Orlroight Neel' talked a lot of sense when he co-commentated for Radio Norfolk and batted away Canary Callers ! Perhaps one day he might manage the first team, who knows
Decent report - for a ****e paper http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...port-Carlton-Morris-Joshua-Murphy-dazzle.html
The Murphys are arguably the best products from our youth team (outfield players) for some time! I really do hope atleast one has a bright future for us
Also i would like to add, if they were playing like this for Southampton they would be linked to Spurs and Arsenal for £10+mil tomorrow in the papers
Anyone know how we've done in this competition in previous seasons? Have we finally got a decent crop of youngsters, or is this competition not really a good indicator of youth talent?
'83 Was a good year, we actually won the League and Cup double. Dave Stringer was the coach back then I believe http://www.thefa.com/Competitions/FACompetitions/TheFAYouthCup/history/fayouthcupwinners
Cheers guys. Thinking about it more, I think your right with Stringer being the coach, there was something in last night's Evening News about our youth cup exploits. So our guys win the youth FA cup, and then 10 years later we're beating Bayern in Europe? I'm getting tickets for the 2023 Champions League final, and expect to see the Murphy brothers combine to score the winner!
I'm going to get a ticket for the home leg. It will make a change to see some goals scored at CR!!!!!
Recent tweet from DM: Let's get a decent crowd in to back the lads to the hilt Btw, what does he mean by 'subject to approval' ? Whose approval?
Do Forest's youth get a cut of gate takings? If they feel they won't make the most money from that, they might object. Although I'd guess it's likely we'd make a loss anyway due to operating costs.
