What is it with the FA. Our game against Chelsea( away) has been moved to an 8pm k.o. in order to show the match on Sky.They don't give a toss about travelling fans having to get back to the Toon. Why always us? " Eddie Howe's men will now travel to the capital for a league clash two days later than initially scheduled, with the game now set to kick-off at 8pm GMT on Monday, 11th March and be broadcast live on Sky Sports."
Simple really - Sky want viewing figures, they know they get this with Newcastle. The harder the travel to a game , the more fans will watch on the TV ... Sky couldn't give a fcuk about fans, only revenue and profit.
Genuine question: how does it “being harder to travel to” mean more fans watching on TV? Personally I just think it means more people want to watch games with us involved. Hence why they are being ****s
On the whole I'd suggest fewer fans are either willing or able to get from Newcastle to say, Bournemouth, on a Weds night or Chelsea on a Mon night than a Sat 15:00 kickoff It's always our away games since they know they'll get the audience ... Anyway, it's after 09:00, don't you have kids to teach ..?
I doubt they’d do that for an extra few hundred viewers especially as we sell out. They are in an exam!
The Premier League is becoming a right pain in the arse. I’m off to Forest away on sat, be my last one for a while if they don’t start thinking of the fans.
