Just saw this on the OS Forum so I've posted it here. I've seen that story and I really hate the idea. The Premier League is a magnificent league but as a lower league fan, I fear this idea would ruin things quite a bit.
great. just what we need. these prem clubs shouldnt buy too many players so they dont need to have a B team. its not fair on lower league clubs. or make the B team league away from the football league and concentrate more on making a B team more competitive. solves all.
No. Total bollocks. It won't improve the England team - only better coaching will do that. All this half-cocked, dreamt-up-by-an-accountant idea will do is damage lower league clubs, again. It will also introduce horrendous complexity into the promotion/relegation system in the lower leagues.
