http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...p-charge-hearing-EXCLUSIVE-article729871.html The FA fear that QPR will exercise the right to either have their disciplinary hearing on Tuesday delayed or abandoned completely. QPR would have to make an application to the independent Regulatory Commission in the next 24 hours, citing claims that the club have already been found guilty before any defence evidence has been submitted. QPR have been charged with seven breaches of regulations relating to third-party ownership and agents concerning Argentinean midfielder Alejandro Faurlin. Yet reports last week, quoting FA sources, claimed the evidence against QPR was damning and they could face a 15-point deduction and be forced to drop down from automatic promotion into the play-offs. Although the FA have moved swiftly to distance themselves from these reports, Rangers are within their rights to claim there case has been tarnished and as a result they are unlikely to get a fair hearing. Any significant delay in the hearing would effectively rule out QPR being docked points that would prevent them from securing automatic promotion. The club claimed via their own website that they paid ã3.5 million for Faurlin in 2009. The truth is they merely made a deferred payment to agents who owned the playerââ¬â¢s economic rights of around ã600,000. Faurlin was also signed prior to the introduction of new regulations regarding third party ownership and QPR were transparent about the deal with both the Football League and the FA and provided documentation that there would be no third party influence. And when they did buy out the rights to the player a year later they informed the Football League and paid the money through the FA. The FA decided to investigate the deal when QPR boasted of paying ã3.5 million and sent independent lawyers into the club in January of this year. At worst it appears QPR used a licensed agent, but who wasnââ¬â¢t registered with the FA, and may be guilty of a clerical error. And it seems unlikely that if the case is eventually heard they are more likely to receive a slap on the wrist and substantial fine.
That version reads so much better than some of the hysterical output we have been subjected to. You can see why the club are confident based on that.
Thanks Northolt. Who should we believe, The Mirror or The Sun? I know who I want to believe but which paper is more trustworthy?
Guys, the chances are that, due to the Sun's 'revelation', should the FA proceed with the case, we could counter sue because the case has been prejudiced by the aforementioned 'revelation'. In fact what will probably happen is we will get a slap on the wrist and nothing more. Thanks, ironically in no small part to the Sun who have effectively forced the FA into doing the opposite of what has been reported. This is all a storm in a teacup anyway. Premiership here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
North, having read your artilcle, it seems that the FA are leaving themselves open to riducle. Changing rules after they have the information does not seem fair, and I wonder, whether they are just really wanting Paladini's head on a plate. It also appears that both football league and FA won't come out of this as it appears (my views only) that they also have encountered "clerical errors", and I believe that they would struggle identifying their arses and elbows.....although by now I would have thought their elbows would be a bit sore
No denying it's just getting better and better from our point of view. There's time pressure, judgement, mitigation, appeal and now sub judicy to consider. Excellent stuff!
This sounds good Sure to get one or two managers complain Especially from a couple of welsh clubs http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&so...dda13-gUObwSPWW5g&sig2=cAmfJF4WTTj1CctfXV0PGA http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&so...WN69JdYeo8KSb21zQ&sig2=WKGoUvwkXq5KwSrm10d8tg
Ooh, do I like the sound of those words: RIGHT and ABANDONED! Press talk again maybe but sub judicy is a big deal...
I guess we should defintely win the last match to ensure a possible Play Off place. I guess that the coming Friday will not bring good news at all.
Thanks for those Northolt. They certainly make encouraging reading, especially where he tweets that we have not broken any rules, just misled them. That surely is no basis for a points deduction.
Makes me laugh how some of the less intelligent Norwich and Cardiff posts are licking their lips at the prospect of us being punished to the extent we don't go up at all. They couldn't knock us off top spot virtually all year with their football, so this is all they have left to cling onto
