Shrewsbury deserved the draw and the lucrative financial rewards of a replay at Anfield. It was nice to see Max and Scott involved in probably the biggest match of their careers and it makes me wonder "what if". Well done Sam Ricketts and the team.
The Shrews raised their game beautifully - as they did against us. Well done to them Mixed feelings for me really - on one hand I would have loved to be playing Liverpool, but on the other hand I’d rather have the playoffs if I’m honest and the extra games would hit our league form - which despite people bemoaning performances is actually quite good (3 wins from the last 4 games). Our squad has a nice rest before Tuesday - should be just what we needed.
