There's no point getting our hopes up is there? I don't know if we really need this right now. Best to get put out of our misery in the 3rd round by one of the elite teams' youth side.
Will settle for any home draw and a Saturday or Sunday fixture as its probably the only game I will get to this Christmas. A Premier league side would be good as well.
Beating a standard team by a few goals might help on the old confidence issue, but also maybe someone like Aarons (or Mitro) can use it to further work their way into the good books. These are the positives I'll cling to because we all know we're not going to win it and, in fairness, any lengthy run in the cup with our current squad of players would be counter-productive.
I was hoping for the Mackems at home, however I can't see Ashley investing in the amount of toilet paper needed to keep the seats clean after their dirty bastards have left calling cards.
As it stands, we'll be resorting to playing the likes of Colback in the Cup. As we saw Saturday, all 7 of Chelsea's bench would have been first choice at NUFC. The blood baron's pensioners can afford to let Ake, Chalobah, Abraham and Loftus-Cheek leave - all of whom would also be starting for NUFC. Football is gloriously fcked beyond recognition, so I'll cast a glance at bbc.com later tonight but won't give a rats ass about who we play, be it Man City or Slough.
