Well, here we are again. It's coming down to that time of the year when we have to guess which Premiership clubs will take the cup seriously. Which surprise packages will there be ie. Fleetwood for Wembley ? In order to not clutter up the forum too much all postings will appear here, including League Table updates. If Frenchie is in a friendly mood then he may place a 'sticky' on this ? Even though we have a lot of predictions leagues already. The rules, and scoring, will be the same as last year. No jokers, no doubling of scores for Watford matches. Predictions, once made, stand for replays as well. The scoring is simply based on who you think will get through. This applies up to the Semi Final stage where it changes to actually predicting scorelines. The points system is as follows:

3rd Round Stage - Simply pick winners eg. Watford v Bristol City H. 10 points for each winner, maximum 320 points.
4th Round Stage - The same as for the 3rd round, but 20 points per winner - maximum 320 points.

5th Round Stage - The same but 40 points per winner - maximum 320 points.
6th Round Stage - The same but 80 points per winner - maximum 320 points.

Semi Finals - based on the scoreline after normal time ie. 90 mins. (What happens in extra time is irrelevant).
Right scoreline eg. Watford v Chelsea 2-1 = 160 points
Wrong scoreline, correct result eg. 2-1 (where the actuall result is 3-0) = 40 points.
Right score difference eg. 2-1 against 1-0 = 80 points
Correctly tipping a draw (1-1 aganst 0-0) = 80 points.

The Final - Same principal as for the Semis.
Right scoreline = 240 points
Correct result = 60 points
Correct score difference = 120 points
Correctly tipping a draw (wrong scoreline) = 120 points.

FA Cup Predictions League 2017/2018

Here is the provisional league table with 23 ties decided. Still Brighton v Palace tomorrow night, which could change the look of the table a bit - lots of cross tipping on that one, and 8 replays to come. I will update it tomorrow and then produce a new table once the replays have been decided. Our first leader is Zen, followed by Scully who were, coincidentally, the only tippers to trust in Newport. I trusted in Rochdale which paid off (once had a girlfriend there - which was the only logical reason). A couple of tippers got Coventry. Nobody got Forest.
