Sorry to correct you, but it is a town in the Blackmore Vale area of Dorset, England. The town is the most northerly in the county. It is near to the town of Shaftesbury which lies 7 miles to the south east. Half of the town's population was wiped out by the Black Death in 1348 and they have had trouble fielding a full team ever since.
Some of the population fled the Black Death, wandered Southern England, and eventually settled near the Medway creating a small settlement of the same name. None of the locals would have anything to do with them for fear of catching the plague so they resorted to inbreeding, with the result that their descendents are none too bright.

Our own quickest ever at Whammers in '86 by jm Melrose was 9 seconds but Whammers kicked off and we had to get it back to do that.
Bradford kicked off to get their's.
My mate missed the whammers one as I had bought a wonderful cup of tea for 22p
and advised hm to get ne s it was so good . He did and missed the goal.
Still the record now.

Naughty Eddie. True though. The point of the Back Death is that some carried a gene which meant they could't develop the plague. So isolating them was silly. They were the safest to mingle with if you wanted to stay safe. Black death is like Ebola so not spread by fleas or rats. The back blothes caused by contusions and clots are blood under the skin, hence black hence The Back death.

Jim Fryatt, another promising youngster developing as well as could possibly be expected whom we let go on a free for no apparent reason and went on to have a tremendous league career. We have being doing that as long as I can remember. More recently Turner, S h i t tu, Primus, etc, etc. And none of them in the "awkward squad" like Josh Wright.
We seem to have a fantastic crop of youngsters at present, playing good football and matching up to clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea who can pick the best from across the world. Let's hope some of them come through and stick with us, at least until we can get a decent fee, not leave on frees or for peanuts like the above trio and many others.
That's what happens when you have a large squad, with every position covered by an experienced player. There's no way through for the youngsters and they leave. You can't have it both ways.
