People are right when they claim Cup draws are fixed to favour Man Utd. Man City away is practically a bye.

  2. Well, that's an early exit for United, then <ok>

In all seriousness, what a draw! That's bad luck on both teams.

Don't feed the sad pathetic troll - I'll just delete all his posts and the bites. Even the Chelsea fans know he's full of ****. Same goes for all the City trolls who can't stop lurking on our board no matter how their own team is doing.

Tbh I'm quite glad we've got City in this round - on current form no other team stands a chance against them, so we'd probably have to get past them anyway if we wanted to win it. At least this way we can either knock them out early or get knocked out and concentrate on the league and CL.

  8. That's a good way of looking at it, and it did cross my mind, too. It could work favourably for you, either way.

Swarbs can I politely remind you that if it wasn't for Hart being on top form we could of beat them 3 or 4-1, and to be honest easily deserved the 3 points..

The game between you two should be cracker that's for sure <ok>

CC Semis will be more important to City than 3rd round of the FA cup. They''ll use their 2nd string team, which we will thump

You could have scored more, but then you could (should) have scored more in pretty much every game this season. And had it not been for Lescott scoring one of the stupidest own goals I have ever seen, Super Mario going super crazy, and Silva missing that effort in the last couple of minutes City would have come away with all three points. But yes, I take your point, and City could well end up going out against anyone if they don't play to their best. But I don't think we can rely on that - City look like they could go all the way to the final in all competitions (CL aside of course) this season.

Fair points but tbh city were under the kosh and settling for a draw even before baloteli got sent off so I don't really buy that.

I reckon City have priority for the prem then CL, United want payback, I see a United win on this one unless City take it 100% seriously which I doubt, or will Mancini be tempted cos if he is and United win it may have give a little edge to United for the prem.

If I was mancini I would put out the reserves

City are United's nemesis; that Cup semi was a big breakthrough.

I dont either, we did what United didn't, squeezed the midfield and broke on them, defended well, we were disciplined, caused em lots of problems and didn't get anyone sent off, that is a failing by a team member not an excuse for losing as I keep hearing, Baloteli is a talented individual but a fkn numpty.

Tired of hearing if such n such didn't get sent off. If a team has a player that does than, it is a failure, not an excuse, City managed t keep 11 on the pitch at OT yet UNited couldn't, it was just another way in which they bettered UNited on the day thats all, not an excuse why United didn't win

Liverpool were a match for City on the day at Anfield.

I agree - I'm not trying to do Liverpool down, you were the better side that day and more likely to win after the two goals went in. My point is that even when playing away from home, at a very difficult venue, against a side that outperformed them, with a player sent off and conceding a quite fluky own goal, City were still able to come away with a point. They are looking ominously like Chelsea in 05 and 06, or Utd in 94, 99 and 08 - dominating other teams when playing well, and often able to get results even when they have bad days. Which is why I reckon if they take the FA Cup seriously it will take a quality performance or a large slice of luck to knock them out.

Well, by the time Jan comes around City are 90% likely to be out of the CL and in the EL. At which point I reckon Mancini may well have to win the PL and at least one of the cups in order to keep his job. So I doubt he'd gamble on putting out the reserves for either game tbh, particularly given how badly that could backfire on him if Utd win the FA Cup and City failed to win the PL.
