We've drawn Oldham at the Cottage. Maybe not a 'glamour' tie, which has pros and cons but not one to be complacent about. The Latics are currently sitting in 13th spot of League 2 and 5 points off a play off place.
For me the perfect tie. I have worked with a passionate Oldham supporter for nearly 15 years and this will be the first time for genuine banter!
I was hoping for an away game at a ground I'd not been to but I'll take it. Last away game in the third round I can remember was Accrington Stanley and that must have been 10 years or so ago.
From the point of view of advancement in the cup, this is ideal - a home tie against a team from the lower divisions. I agree with Cottager that we shouldn't take Oldham for granted, but this is as good as we could have hoped for.
