Monday 8 December

FA Cup Third Round Draw, BBC Two 1900-1930.

Mark Chapman introduces live coverage of the eagerly-awaited draw for the third round of the FA Cup live from Hull. All-time Premier League top goalscorer, Alan Shearer will be drawing the balls as the League One, League Two and non-league clubs who have reached this stage will be hoping for a glamour tie against a top-flight side.

    Scun.thorpe / Worcester City v. HULL CITY.
    Newcastle Utd v. Hartlepool Utd.

Myself, much prefer a trip to a non league team would be fun. Warrington maybe ? <laugh>

Let's hope they don't get their local staff involved. You can just imagine Lloyd going round asking everyone if they are red and white or black and white.

Probably because we were runners-up last season.

Alan Shearer and Mark Chapman(though I'm not sure if Chapman is just hosting it).

Mark Chapman is the host. Someone else will do the draw with Alan Shearer.

I am hoping for Shrewsbury Town(assuming they win through) away as ive not done the New Gay Meadow.

The nold one with the river behind a stand was a dump but a good dump.

Been there a good few times, I really liked it, especially the leaves on the pitch in the goalmouth in the autumn (or is my memory imagining that?)

I’ve seen us properly pumped there and I’ve also witnessed one or two smash and grabs for us.

Best one was under Dolan. Went two nil up, before ex Everton striker Wayne Clarke scored two late goals.

Then, Lawford pounced on some sort of mistake in the box and smashed it in to give us a 3-2 win cue beserkdom on the terraces.

Mark Chapman was on RH when it was announced that the draw was going to be made in Hull. He knew Piper club, and asked if it was still going.

Yes. Been good, bad and ugly games at the old Gay Meadow. The bloke who had a boat 2 retrieve the balls was also a laugh. Great days now long gone. Even the fuzz were good back in the day.

    Now that would be good.

Co-drawer with Shearer will probably be either Deano or a celebrity fan like Tom Courtney, Omar Sharif* or Sinitta.

    *he's still alive isn't he?

Any chance it'll be done in front of a crowd? I'll get down there if it is.

Chances are everyone'll be vetted for criminal records and searched for bombs if they are allowed in...

With it being in The Deep I hope Martin Fish isn't involved.

Also brace yourself for some ****e comment about Hull being a rugby town.
