2 on target 2 goals.

Derby were very disciplined and add our strikers we can't get a lookin for more than an hour.

Mikel glances a great header in from Willian's inswinger!
Fair play to Mikel - he seldom gets into boxes for set pieces.

Oscar doubles it with a deflected goal from a tight angle.
We shouldn't lap it around!

Nando was in a better position for that shot..

as soon as I type that ,Nando pulls off his trademark screw up!!

They've given you a decent game but since you score they have struggled

How **** is Eto!

Good result but once again illustrates why we need a real striker sooner rather than later if we're to make things happen at the business end of the season.

Torres increasingly frustrating, looks so sharp and puts a shift in but can't do a thing right when it's crunch time <grr>

I've said it before, but I wonder whether there is any mileage in him playing a different position. Still class on the ball, fast and brings others into play well...but his finishing is not good enough for us to rely on him at number 9 every week.

But would you start him ahead of Hazard, Oscar, Willian or Mata, not really. The only reason he still gets in the team is because his natural position is one we are very weak at.

For me, just sometimes feels like Fernando wants to beat too many guys before scoring, just needs to start putting the ball in the net regularly and the confidence will grow. Needs a run of games too, not switching every other game with Eto'o

Agree with this. Not good enough delivery to be a winger or good enough passing to play behind the striker.

I keep thinking that he will come good. His all round play is excellent and still has skill and a turn of pace to get past defenders, something he has been doing for a while now. But holy Jesus he cannot finnish for his life, some of his shooting is shocking to say the least, if any other top striker had been in some of the positions Torres has been in they would have had a shedfull (no pun intended) of goals by now. It is only the high price tag and embarrassment of admitting we made a huge mistake forking out that amount that stops the club from getting rid. I hope I am wrong but do not see any way he will ever be the player he was before the last long term injury he had whilst at Liverpool, they did a great job in off loading him and probably knew he was on his way down.

He'll never ever ever be good again, nowhere good enough to win the title with. Squad player, fair enough but not on the wages he's raking in!
