Welling United are having a steady season in the Conference Premier....at the moment 8th position. Last week they beat Lincoln City 1-0....who are at present 13th in the same league......so if we win our replay we have a similar game to play but with home advantage. Not far from here less than ten miles away......shame it isn't an away match....but I doubt if I would get a ticket.
If we don't beat both Lincoln & Welling to progress what might be a money spinning draw in the 3rd round, will be very sad indeed.....the club needs cash and a new striker!
We need the striker sooner as if we have the correct one that could get some cash if we win both these games and get a nice draw in the 3rd round... or further!!
All this euphoria on the back of a draw away to a non-league outfit. Talk of 3rd round matches.......don't forget we haven't got past this one in years. If only we can dispose of the non-league outfits then that will gee us up to get a last minute winning goal at say the Emirates then give Utd. a long awaited embarrassment at OT perhaps...that's what you call dreaming Sensible!
What and have all that sun and golden beaches....now there must be a womans beach volley ball match around here somewhere...forget the football.
