Reports on various news sites this afternoon claiming the FA are looking into comments made by Barton on Twitter and from Warnock during post match interviews following the red card received during the game yesterday for the "ghost-butt" incident with a view to make charges against the pair.

I don't like Barton, I don't like Warnock. What I do like is QPR and despite these two not being on my Christmas card list I think they both have a point. Every few years there is another one of those top 10 best of/worst of shows so maybe they can include the fake head butt reaction from Bradley Johnson along with the "I've just been hit with a hammer" reaction from Slavan Bilic when he played against France.

Any sympathy I might have for Barton & Warnock is soon tempered by considering how much of a meal Barton made when lightly nudged against Arsenal not so long ago and that Warnock managed the likes of Chris Morgan at Sheffield Utd where actual bodily harm was the order of the day.

And how shocking was that referee? Did he get anything right? He even gave us a free kick when Adel went sprawling despite it being a fair tackle. Was it his attempt at trying to even things up? Too little and too late if it was.

Instead of looking to fine Barton and Warnock maybe the FA need to look at the performance of the officials yesterday and relegate them to the Conference (sorry Conference) or even Sundays on Hackney Marshes.

Some of the worst refereeing i have seen yesterday.
I thought premiership refs were supposed to be better than those in the championship.....from what i have seen this season i think they are worse.

I hope the FA in some way do charge Barton & Warnock, so that they can get a chance to defend themselves...however, I would also like to know what is in the FA Rule book which states that play is allowed to continue EVEN if a serious assult (ie headbutt) has taken place. I a 99% certain THAT if a qualified ref and linesperson SAW the incident then play would have been stopped a hell of a lot earlier...(immediately)....PLUS how did thy miss the earlier fouls on Mr Barton?

I only hope that Johnson in some way shape or form ends up getting charged

You're all acting like it didn't happen... Fact is, the footage is unclear! Sme angles it looks like Barton moves forward, others it doesn't. Some angles it looks like BJ makes a meal of it (though not as much as many players I've seen) others it looks like he's just moving out the way. BUT it's quite clear neither of the officials saw it- the head butt or the reaction. So they can't have been influenced by either... BJ won't get charged, he's done nothing. You can't criticise a refereeing decision like Barton and Neil ****** have- unles you can prove you're right. They can't... Because it's Not clear!

Question is, who made the decision- sounds like the fourth official is allowed to by microphone. Wich goes along way to explaining why it took so long to make the decision, and why the linesman's flag stayed down.

That aside, you looked way more likely to score after Barton went off, Taarabt and SWP looked very dangerous. Why not play them for the whole match? I think questions need to be asked of your manager. Especially if he's managed to pick up a ban on top due to an overreaction to an unclear decision. That would be just stupid

And then Holt ran to the linesman and pointed it all out to him, and then he told the ref, and then Barton is sent off for something that a) he didn't do, and b) no official saw.

If I was Warnock, the appeal would have been in with the FA even before the end of the half.

Lot of strange refereeing decisions recently in the Premier League. Understandable I guess, who would send Lampard off when the ****e is owned by a Russian M******...?

Sorry Rob, that's utter nonsense. Here is what we do know for sure; neither the ref or the linesman actually saw the incident. That's a fact, because if they had they would of either flagged or stopped play straight away. They didn't. Therefore the only conclusion is after being mobbed by Norwich players they took a guess at what happened. That's not good enough, and therefore the onus should be on them to prove that a headbutt did happen, not on Barton to prove that it didn't. The fact that BJ is now shown on TV at the darts championship, without a mark on him, openly mocking Barton is a disgrace, and just adds salt to the wound. It won't happen, but BJ should be charged by the FA for being a cheat and bringing the game into disrepute, not NW and JB.
