As I understood it the FA were going to publish a report of the details of the Hearing - and that we had two weeks to lodge an appeal against the FA's dubious decision to fine us ã875,000 . Well, two weeks is up this Saturday... No sign of an FA report and I'm dying to know how the panel managed to find that the club had brought the game into disrepute - and to such extent that a fine of ã800,000 was deemed appropriate for that particular 'offence'. Even to billionaires, that money would be useful to bolster our wage budget next year. Anyone heard anything yet?
And a third question;if Swansea are unsuccessful at Wembley are they going to run to their lawyers as they threatened (that should be funny)
The only thing that they might appeal against is the amount of the fines. Even Warnock, in a recent article, has said that the lawyer told him that they were in breach of a couple of the charges but not the 3rd party ownership charges. It would be a little dumb to appeal against those with NW having said that in the press. BUT, we are QPR and anything is possible!!
There is still nothing on the F.A. website. I too want to read the enquiry report. I'll have a dig around later - it should be a quiet day at work.
Lets hope the Swans win the final then no-one else can claim they would have finished second if we got a hefty deduction.
Am I being a bit dense here? So Swans choose to sue - they can only act against the FA, not us. Is there anything (apart maybe from an appeal by us) that suggests that outside action can actually change our current standing? Just can't see how...
if Swansea do appeal IF they lose the final against Reading I cannot expect them to get much sympathy if they lose
