If the FA have any decency then they will remove him. So expect him to be named captain for the foreseeable future.

His position is untenable. How many more players would not want to play under his captaincy? Capello is a muppet anyway and the FA should see him off as well, let 'Arry run the team from Wormwood Scrubs...

This is deffo the point. You would think that Rio-Terry will be Englands first choice CB pairing for the Championships. How is this going to work? IMHO i think that this issue will affect the team. It has to!!!!!! I think that some of the black players in the squad would at least have to be wondering about his innocence. This is very bad news for Englands preparations. I am sure Capello must be furious with Terry. It is not inconceivable that Terry would be left out of the squad come the summer. His already dodgy reputation is destroyed regardless of the outcome. On a different note, i'm sure Anton does not want this hanging over him until the summer. The press speculation between now and the Championships starting is only going to increase day by day. I hope it does not affect his performances.
There's no guarantees that either Rio or JT will even be in the squad. There are at least four english centre backs that are better, quicker, and younger than both of them. Cahill, Jagielka, Lescott, Jones, Dawson, all would be ahead of both of them in my squad. So on form alone there's scope for not taking him. However, there's a certain 'toxicity' that seems to follow this man around that you wouldn't want around the squad, let alone in the run-up to a major championship. And simply for that reason, I'd leave him out - irrespective of the outcome of the trial.
Someone charged of racism leading his country into a European Competiton???? FA Should strip him of the captaincy immediately, however, you would have thought that the lawyers involved would have tried to get this case dealt with as soon as possible. rather than let it drag onto until the summer
He's finished and on his way out. Gone from the UK come next season along with Fat Frank and AVB. Even Abramovich and part of the Chelsea fan base have had enough. Come on FA, give us his public humiliation and give it us now!
He was behind much of the disquiet in the England camp in South Africa. He didn't agree with the way the team was set up so he stirred up others and showed his displeasure by not putting the effort in during matches. The England team will be in a better place when he has gone.
