Recently I was asked to do a 1000-word English narrative that focuses on the concept of belonging. And because everything relates to everything in English and it is really mostly a measure of how well you can bullshit, I chose to do an F1 related narrative. It exceeded 2500 words and was a story of young Aussie racer and how he sacrificed things like friends and a real social life when he was young, to concentrate on working his way through karting and junior formulas to be heralded a future talent. He made it to the big time and found that he had hardened up enough through his lonely childhood to deal with the pressures of being an F1 driver, and sure enough grabbed a podium in his first race in Melbourne with Force India. It goes a bit further down that line of not belonging and blah blah...
Might be an interesting topic for you to talk about is how a young driver works his way through the ranks <ok>
