What? Where has that come from? Why do they insist on ****ing up the formula that isn't broken. It more entertaining to see somebody potentially win by 1 point rather than 50 In a final race
wtf? Double points? what next, flashing yellow boxes that give you a red turtle shell to hurl at your opponent? I had to check the date to make sure it wasn't April 1st already http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/111795
This is more down to the car and luck than the driver, most drivers would boast that record if their car was bullet proof all season. Also, Bianchi's first retirement of the season was caused by Chilton ramming Maldonado into the barriers in Monaco. If this goes ahead I'm finished with F1. One gimmick too far. The "sport" has lost the little credibility it had left.
ah, I see the reason now, in the last 5 years Ferrari would've won 2 WDC's at the expense of Hamilton and Vettel if these farcial rule was in place, FIA trying to live up to their other name
Saw it on GP toons and honestly assumed he was joking. NOPE. I can only assume that the outcry will get it cancelled like those medals were and it's part of Bernie's "no publicity is bad publicity" plan... but seriously that is stupid on an entirely new level.
Ridiculous decision, winning a championship is about hard work over the whole season, no race should be more important than the others.
Biggest pile of manure FIA have come up with and they've come up with whole field of this stuff in the past... #notamused
If they were going to do anything they would be better giving points for Quali, fastest lap and most lap led bonus points. At least that rewards the driver over a season rather than just putting a lottery bonus on a selected race.
Well at least the teams have rejected 1 stupid idea, lets hope they reject this one too. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/25310485 Why cant the teams have more power? They seem to make much more sensible decisions. And its not just here. The double points rule has been very unpopular over the whole internet so they have to react to it.
I read the article that the teams have no say on the double points thing. Really hope the FIA look at the teams and public reaction and reverse this nonsense.
In that link I attached why did Benson put a clip of Hamilton going in the McLaren pit box for? How is that related to the story?
It was just incase people didn't know what a pitstop was when he was talking about the two-stop rule being rejected. Some casual F1 fans are a bit dim. Plus, has to be Hamilton as in the world of Benson, only Hamilton exists.
Also from that article I find it hard to believe the claim that someone like Alonso will have a half second advantage over Hulkenberg due the weight issues for next year.
Since when did Hulk weigh 80kg? A few months ago he was 75kg. It's odd that Red Bull wanted the weight increase but Lotus rejected it. Also strange that Mercedes rejected it but McLaren and Williams didn't.
