    Morning Leeds fans,

Bates has been "offered a second option" to sell his majority shareholding in the club to other Middle East investors, according to Duncan Castles and our very own YWBK. Is this just a smoke screen, is time running out for Bates?

New scans have revealed further problems on McCormacks injured ankle. The striker picked up the injury away to Cardiff last weekend and will now have an operation today (Friday) before learning the full extent of the injury.

With McCormack out for months, do we rely on Poleon, push Diouff up front, maybe try Varney up there or maybe look into the loan market?

Forest are the visitors to Elland Road this weekend, Becchio is still a doubt after picking up a knock against Hull last tuesday. What team would you play?

    Morning.

I always suspected Bates plan was to change ownership back to "Unknown" investors, we just can not expect him to sell the club.
Its an ego trip used to take fans money and deliver nothing, he will welcome investors money without providing any return (e.g Matthew Harding).

McCormack was always going to get injured as soon as we signed him up, my impression from reports is that he drinks too much and is over weight. These are not the best attributes for a sporting professional.

Up front I doubt Bates will spend much so Beckford is highly unlikely, if we get lucky we might get another short term loan from Stoke, I have read that Kenwyne Jones has been linked.

Oh.... Why did we choose Leeds & why did Krasner & co let Bates get his fingers into Elland Road.

Morning all. Why have we got Andy Grey sitting on the sidelines twiddling his toes & using up cash if Warnock isn't now going to give him his chance. Poleon may well get a run out at some point on Saturday. But, depending on the state of Becchio, Warnock has got to use the players he brought in otherwide selling/moving on other players seems pointless.

On the T/O, I believe in the tooth fairy, Christmas, & one day this sorry mess will finally come to an end with Bates control of the club coming to an end. I still maintain that he saved the club in that we are even now so much better off as a result of his efforts than Portsmouth are thanks to their previous owners. But I also think its time Bates moved on, took retirement, & handed the reins over to some one or consortium that will take us to the next level with a significant injection of funds.

Morning all. Forest are going to be difficult on Saturday, I can see us getting beat yet again. Unless we suddenly go on a great run real soon and string together at least six wins on the trot, then promotion is done for. The team will miss Ross, and it hasn't helped confidence at all. The Hull loss was flipping poor, and it is starting to look like a long old season. The one thing about all dictators is this - none have lived forever.

Morning All, feeling abit better regarding the takeover since Warnock has said good news within the next 10-14 days. Hopefully he'll know something we don't.
    Team for saturday,

    Kenny
    Peltier Pearce Lees Drury
    Byram Austin Brown White
    Diouf
    Poleon
Don't think Tongue has looked up to scratch so far. Either Brown or Thompson with Austin more advanced

Looks good to me Enoch. A diamond with Austin at the head & Brown in front of the back 4 seems the way ahead for me.

Morning all - Sorry to sound so glum but we can just give up on the season now, I totally agree with Farsleyexile - This season is now about picking up enough points to avoid relegation, we might be stronger on paper at the back but this is the worst team LUFC has had for the past several years (all things taken into account squad depth etc).

    Morning all,

Team looks like a good shout Enoch and agree that Brown needs to be brought in for Tonge to give us a bit more defensive cover.

As for this new Warnock quote, I'm not putting too much stock in it to be fair. Yes, he should know if something is going on, but it wouldn't be the first time he's been conned about it as well. With Rosco out longer term and off the back of a disappointing defeat with a tough game against forrest I can't help but think it's a leak to raise the spirits of the fans over anything with real substance.

Look how much of a sceptic this whole takeover thing has made me!

Given our current form the only result we're likely to get on Saturday is if Bates chokes to death on a half-time pie <ok>
