Not just NCFC but in general. My first recollections are from 1970 when as an eight year old I watched my first final and what a final it was. It was the first final to go to a replay since 1912, Chelsea eventually beating Leeds 2-1 in the second of two great games to win The Cup for the first time. This was a time when The F.A. Cup was the most prestigious trophy to win and every club would put out their strongest starting eleven in an attempt to win any tie. In fact in those days, players would be rested in League games sometimes in order to be 100% fit for a cup tie ! Hi mate nice thread by the way! Eight years after 1970 there was a terrific team from Suffolk that won the FA cup. Did you know that?
I remember it well I was a lad working as a 'butcher's boy' at the time, I watched the match on a portable TV while making sausages in the back room ! ! When Osborne scored that goal I couldn't believe it, I've never forgiven Arsenal for not turning up that day

Going back to FA cup memories, was anyone else at Blundell Park Grimsby when Ian Crook "bent it like a banana' in a dire 1 - 0 win. 1991/2 I seem to recall.
Saturday 18 February 1967. We beat Manure 2-1 at OT with a weakened team and Denis Law scored a memorable goal. Just too young to be able to go to the 58-59 run. Do remember the big freeze of 62-63 when we played all our games with in 2 weeks I think.
Incredible goal from an extremely acute angle with the outside of his foot. I did relate this tale before on this forum but it was one of the few times I have appeared on national TV. The BBC took some film of City supporters celebrating the victory and there I was slap bang in the middle jumping up and down. It was shown on the main news bulletins. Trouble was I was supposed to visit my girlfriend who lived in Coventry that weekend but I called off at the last minute as I was too ill to travel - guess who was watching the news bulletin!!! 62-63 was incredible with most pitches being completely unplayable from early Jan to late March. In those days all matches - league and Cup - had to be completed before the Cup Final on the 1st Saturday in May as a lot of professional footballers were also professional Cricketers and had to be released to their Counties. The 3rd round of the Cup was still being played at the end of March but eventually everything was completed on time. I'm sure that as soon as a few pitches became playable they were used by other Teams whose pitch was still frozen and when all pitches became playable Clubs had to play 3 matches a week to clear the backlog. No big squads in those days either.
My earliest recollection for a final was Sheff Wed 2 - 3 Everton which was a great final. For NCFC it was seeing on the telly Man Ure 1 - 2 Norwich City and although my memory has faded (due to alcohol) Gordon Bolland is a name that sticks out as being instrumental in that amazing victory.
Bolland and Heath scored that day - Don Heath's goal was a very good solo run and finish. We were battered for most of the game but somehow managed to hang on.
Especially for you KIO... ENJOY

I was in the crowd that day wearing my green Parker Snorkel coat... My Mum insisted on me wearing it as it looked like rain!
