It sounds like we had our fair share of ruffians back then. I wonder how they fared against Millwall? Is the 'Bushman' who wrote the Rangers Chatter a relative Bushman?
On a vaguely related note, when did we stop using the apostrophe in Queen's Park Rangers? It's always just Queens Park Rangers now.. Maybe we should consider bringing it back??
.............. foul language used by spectators against a referee? Well I never! It's a wonder the club was ever allowed to reopen and after all these years, stay open.
What Bushman and QPR Report don't mention is that half the tossers on the FA Board that day are still there.
What - a whole thread on the Mystery of The Missing Apostrophe? Once a regular, first on the team sheet, racked up a club record 3,857 consecutive appearances, but then, one fateful day in 1967, he was missing, and hasn't been seen since. Rumours of illegal gambling dens, and an affair with the Chairman's semi-colon began to appear in the gutter press. The CIA mentioned that they had been concerned about signs he was leaning to the left, and the conspiracy theorists went wild. Was there a 'second apostrophe' on a grassy knoll just behind the White City tube station? Did the appearance of the Italians (who would reappear to purchase the club 40 years later) first get interested when a contract was taken out on the poor, unsuspecting bit of punctuation? Or did he, as many believe, defect to the East, where he shared all his secrets to the highest bidder, as shown in the short-lived rise and demise of clubs like Millw'all, W'est Ham and Leyton O'rient...... We need to know the truth......
But what about his poor wife, Ampersand? They already had three little commas, and another on the way, going by this recent picture of the not-so-little woman: & Will nobody think of the children??????
