Looks like the club are going to bring him back after his loan spell and give him a chance. He's a talent, and could give us a real option up top if managed properly Would love to see the likes of Eze and Shodipo bring an injection of pace and trickery into our squad on a more regular basis
I'd like to see Eze get a go, too, but I'm not sure where we'd fit him in. Seems he's been playing an attacking midfield role, so I guess he'd be back-up for Freeman.
I'd guess Freeman and one or two others may be on their way in January so Eze should get some game time...
What the linked article in the OP wrote about Ingram made me think Smithies could be on his way January. Maybe Ingram is good enough, I don't know, but our survival in this Division will be at high risk should Freeman go.
Not sure why you are thinking this. A few will go but at this point not the real first teamers I can see one or both the Poles going. Lualua returning to Brighton (if we can). Yeni going back to France I would love to see Caulker going too, but cannot see it.... I really cannot see Ingrams coming back and playing....I think he will be scarred after Northampton, however well he is playing (I can see Freeman going in summer though)
As Tone said we are a selling club, if the money is right any player could be sold in any window. If we are going to give young players a chance they should be told they have been picked because they are good enough and have 3/4 games guaranteed to show that to everyone. But I doubt we feel secure enough to do that. What is the highest number of consecutive games that Furlong, Greco Cox (he made his debut years ago), Shodipo etc have actually played? Manning was in but now he’s out again. No wonder these kids never seem to kick on.
