What's your thoughts on this lot? A few of them have glued themselves together outside Corbyn's gaff ffs. I'm all for having views on stuff but this collection of snowflakes have seriously disrupted people's every day life in London by all accounts. Maybe the fanfare would have been better in Beijing, Istanbul, Atlanta or Duisburg.. The aftermath would have been worth watching..
Their disrupting public transport, as they’ve done today, is just plain stupid and counter productive. Apart from anything else public transport helps cut emissions.
That's probably too much for them to take in in one go. Seen the clip of a few of them, thank god they weren't around in 1939..
They’ve arguably got a point. Global warming sees irrefutable. However, I don’t think this sort of disruptive protest is gonna give them the sort of publicity they seek. I know if I was still working in central London I’d be ****ing furious.
I can imagine a lot were. The thing is, when you look at pollution and **** like that, then there argument would have been better elsewhere and not the UK. When you look at the British industry of the 50's, 60's 70's and into the 80's these ****ers would have imploded. Coal fires and foggy streets, people had to keep warm in a more seasonal climate back then. I wonder how many of them have looked into the science of solar flares and storms before they decided to be complete pricks..
More electric vehicles, that's the solution to climate change. Electric vehicles in Germany account for more CO2 emissions than diesel ones, according to a study by German scientists. http://www.brusselstimes.com/busine...more-co2-than-diesel-ones,-german-study-shows
Apparently now, 2 rashes of back bacon can add to your chances of bowel cancer ffs ... Will have to tell my old man that, at 90 he's had a bacon butty every morning for 75 years
It’s not a subject I’ve studied in any depth tbh, Joe. Global warming seems to be an irrefutable fact. The cause of it is, of course, hotly disputed. Without going into it too far, whilst we may not be totally responsible, I find it hard to believe that human activity over the last 150+ yrs is not a least partially to blame.
Well, if their aim is to be taken seriously the I don’t believe what their doing is helping to achieve that.
When Sir David Attenborough says global warming is happening, that's good enough! Tbh the fact that so many well-known and wel-respected scientists back this up means humans need to do something to stop it. But rather than trying to deny it, I'll be honest I just can't be bothered enough. It's just way down on my priorities tbh. If it's convenient for me to do something I will, otherwise I don't go out of my way.
I know the feeling. When you see what the likes of China, India, and Trump’s America are doing it’s easy to think ‘**** it, what difference am I gonna make’
I do think we have contributed to it too, especially through Victorian times and the years after that. I also think that a lot of the nuclear testing has contributed too, not only in climate control but an invite to others to follow the trail..
