With a large transfer we know too well about, and now seems like Jones is going to man u for 15-17m, what is the cause for such high fee's for the cream of english youngsters.

Wellbeck would cost a fair chunk, and just how much is Sturridge (the pick of the bunch) worth.

A sudden explosion in transfer fee's for the young un's, will this have a severe knock on effect in the rest of the transfer market...

Your right Commachio, I fear our chance of landing Welbeck is totally eradicated now thanks to these 2 transfers. We all thought we could get Welbeck for around £10 million but based on recent events its going to be around £20 million and similarly for Sturridge.

We will never have anymore budding England stars unless we raise them through our own academy but even then we will just sell to the highest bidder. Reality is starting to sink in that other than a good cup run next season and a couple more places up the league, have we took the club as far as we can?

I think its probably due to the new rules coming in in a couple of seasons regarding 'spend what you earn' Untill then the top teams have licence to throw as much money around as they want knowing that these young players will get better and in a few years might be actually worth what they paid.
