Afternoon folks, I know it may be a bit early to post this as the Championship season has only just finished (with the exception of Reading v Swansea) but was just wondering how you think we will get on next season? Do you think if we can get a few quality players in in the necessary positions (Goalie/Striker) we can achieve an unlikely automatic promotion spot? Or is the play-offs a more realistic aim for us after the disappointing campaign we have just seen?! With the likes of Cardiff, Forest, Leeds, Burnley, Leicester + all the relegated sides all likely to strengthen their squads, can we even make the playoffs? Either way next season should be more exciting and a whole lot better than this one!! Blue Army!
It's going to be a tough league season with Southampton & Brighton coming up. A lot will also depend on which teams come down from the PL with West Ham and what players they can retain and of course who Town can get in over the summer - too many if & buts to make any judgement. Expectations for Town? Wouldn't like to say to be honest as anything below play offs from me would be taken as a wum post, which is not my intention.
It's far too early to really give any predictions that arn't mostly based on hopes and speculation. However if we can make some of these early noises into real action then i think were on good ground to set up a playoff challenge.
Until I can see who we have signed I cannot give my expectations. Based on the actual squad we have, with Bullard / McAuley / Norris no longer with us and others having gone, my expectations at this actual moment in time would be 18th. However, if we sign who we want it will be obviously be a lot higher. A very poor time to ask that question really !
