What's everyone's expectations these days? 17th for me and fight for mid table next year would be mine. I fully expect Howe to keep this sqaud up. Moving forward? Don't care just keep trying and I'll be there..
Set the bar high mate. They now have their choice of manager and one 5th of the squad is their picks. Aim for the stars and if you under perform you may land on the moon. In this case Europa League. Set the bar low and if you undershoot you can be involved in a relegation scrap if you undershoot.
I hope to go on a run now where even if we lose it will be by the odd goal. I believe we have the capability for 15th this season at best. Next year, assuming we start early in the transfer window then top 8 is where I would look. We should be able to compete well with Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester etc.
I expect to survive comfortably. If you can't spend £100m and get safe with players like ASM, Wilson, Trippier and Guimaraes, you shouldn't be a ****ing football manager. Next season, I expect a few bloody noses both on the pitch and off. People will be proper put out of joint by the end of Summer and will be willing us, with every fibre of their being, to fail......then there'll be the realisation that a) we're a better club than Man CIty ever were, b) you can't stop the inevitable and c) that our ridiculous fans and their flags are actually worth getting behind rather than the endlessly vapid support for the greedy 6. 'Cos it's fun. From there, I expect the most fun I've ever had as a supporter, with Wembley, Europe and eventually a PL title.
I like sausage and chips. Better than a lot of "fancy" meals and with Chop Sauce absolutely delicious.
My expectation is relegation - have been of this opinion since Bruce's awful start left us high and dry and since the 5th/6th game of the season. I'm hoping we can get the new lads gelled quick enough to make a meaningful impact but the next five games are huge - Everton, Villa, West Ham, Brentford and Brighton - so not the easiest run but some winnable games even if it would be a surprise to pick up 3 points vs a few of them (plus the rescheduled games against Everton and Southampton). After Brighton on the 5th of March we have 10 games to play (bar 12 inc. rescheduled games) and only Palace, Norwich and Burnley in this half of the table (Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Leicester and Wolves), so it'll be really tough to see us getting out of it if we don't pick up 10 points minimum in the next 5(7) games and then 10-15 more from the next 10(12)... We are better equipped today then we were 4 weeks ago but I still think it's going to be a struggle but ask me again in another 5 games and I may have changed my mind.
With a good lashing of butter on it of course.....there's plenty salt over on the mackem board if you need some seasoning mate !!
How can they be slices if it's 'uncut'? Uncut means you've got a whole loaf of bread, you greedy pig. Oh, and hello Trev!
