Personally will be delighted if we match last season with the addition of thrashing the Billy big time scouser. Maybe give a proper go at the FA cup. Anyway never dull being a saints fan so I'm sure expectations will go through the roof then come crashing back down several times over the next 9 months or so! Onwards and upwards
Personally I'm hoping for a day at Wembley by beating Liverpool in the final, and Jose fonte gleaming with pride holding up the FA Cup. And a respectable 10th place finish would do me fine.
I'd bite your hand off for 10th now. Having said that I'll probably leave you for 5th when they offer me higher wages and appreciate my beard.
Results aside, some evidence of new team gelling and a long term Koeman plan would be good. More Crystal Palace than Tottenham in that sense.
It's to early to tell. Depends on our transfer dealings. But overall, it's a season in which we need to consolidate, set the foundations of a new great Saints team. Exact position on the table in which we end up is not that important to me. As long as we're in no threat of relegation, I'm content.
We would have struggled to do better than last season....sixth would have been a real push....8-10th more likely. I suspect Mauricio knew that.
All I can see at the moment is a relegation fight. The difference between the clubs in the Premier League is their strikers and goalscorers and we are going to struggle to score many next year unless we get two or three superb attacking players that gel immediately. If we lose anymore players we will be struggling to get a well moulded team ready for the beginning of the season. We need decent players in soon. I hope that I am wrong but realistically I would take 17th.
