Some clueless mugs in the media are giving it large that we are getting too ambitious again etc... probably because we sang the eeei eeei eeeio song yesterday (irony is clearly alien to them). These weasels didn’t read the banner at Rotherham clearly last season I guess. If they can read at all. We don’t demand a team that wins. Only one that tries. I go to the game now not dreading it but happy in the knowledge that our set of players will give it their all... Rafa won’t settle for anything less. Rant over.
There probably are some fans that are deluded in what they expect and think about the team and club but they are a very small minority, it suits the media to have this as a wider narrative along with some pundits and the arseholes like Jordan, it's just another stereotype and doesn't reflect the reality that the vast majority of fans know.
I'm not deluded. We CAN win the league this season, attract a new wealthy owner and then become the Champions League champs for the next 30 years. No, not MAY, we WILL do all of that. I expect nothing less. That's not delusion, it's reality.
The objective hasn't changed. Survive for a season, avoid relegation. Every performance at the moment is just an absolute bonus at this stage.
