The agent of Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup insists the Dane has no intention of quitting his post.

Speculation regarding Laudrup's future has been raging for some time, with his services very much in-demand.

He enjoyed a productive debut season at the Liberty Stadium in 2012/13, guiding Swansea to League Cup glory and a top-half finish in the Premier League.

Laudrup has been linked with several other positions after seeing his reputation enhanced, but has always been quick to distance himself from such talk.

His representative has now adopted that stance, with rumours suggesting that the 48-year-old is unhappy at a lack of transfer movement played down.

Bayram Tutumlu posted on Twitter: "Michael Laudrup is going to stay at Swansea City because he promised the players that he was going to stay.

"For Michael Laudrup, his word is more important than other things."

Well, that'll be difficult to back down from. That's encouraging. Hopefully, for a change, we can go through a summer without worrying if we're going to lose our manager!

I believe Mr L is a man of his word and he will be with us for at least another season and will do his best to invest wisely in new players and ensure the clubs future in the Premier League. Yes he will leave eventually, reputation intact having taken lowly Swansea City to 9th in the Premier League and to League Cup winners. He will move on to one of the great European clubs and so he should, he is destined to become one of the great Managers of that there is no doubt and I will be eternally greatful for the time he spent with us. Michael laudrup is manager of Swansea City? I'm still pinching myself, wish I'd put a quid on that 10 years ago. Lets face it, it's unbelievable.
On another note I see RM ( I will never leave Swansea) is doing the rat leaving a sinking ship ( I would only leave Swansea for Wigan)( I would never leave Wigan) yeah yeah Roberto. Now I understand you wanting to move on to bigger clubs but keep your mouth shut and stop making stupid promises that you have no intention of keeping.

Those tweets were posted by a fake account unfortunately. But I do believe ML will stay.

I think I need to eat some humble pie! Turns out the account could well be real after all! Here it is https://twitter.com/BayramTOficial. Apart from the good news he has written about Laudrup staying, he seems a little care free with his choice of words, he has no problem winding up Ajax about the money issue and talks about ML as if he is their god <laugh>. If it is him, he is most certainly a character!
