As no one has done one, I'll do it. Will PC stick with his tried and trusted formation or will he go for broke?

This will be a difficult match and I foresee a 1-1 draw!!! Leading me to think Pompey may well become this season's away draw specialists.

Only just got back to Essex from a day in Greenwich, to hear the result. 3 more points, and up to 8th in the table.

Can't believe with Exeter at the foot of the table, we only started with Curtis Main up front. Note we scored after PC brought on Chaplin and Hunt again - bit of a pattern beginning to form there methinks!

Anyone think Paul Cook might be a little stubborn?

Watched the goals on C5 this evening. I see 3rd Eye's remark regarding ref "HO HO HO". Was that meant to mean it's Christmas? If that penalty had been given against Pompey I wonder how you would feel after the match? So far I think this season mirrors last season in that the favourites appear to be struggling a bit for points and an outsider is setting the pace. It's another bleddy nightmare.

Gavin Ward Reffed one of our matches for the first time back in the Championship days. I can't remember now who it was against, one of the London clubs, maybe Charlton(?) Don't know if anyone remembers it but he made Liam Lawrence take a pen twice - he missed first time, hit the back of the net second time though. Then he sent LL off for handball and LL was showing everyone his reddening nipple as the ball had actually hit him in the chest.

I had a post match write up bookmarked for years until my computer crashed and I lost everything on it. The post match write up was one of the funniest ever, covered their whole day from setting off from home, through their visit to Gun Wharf, to the state of the stadium and how he "loved it" romanticising all the season ticket holders in their seats for decades, to Gavin Ward reffing the match and how they had 30 seconds to make their connecting train home again. Best write up ever. Sadly I've never been able to find it again.

The next match he reffed we couldn't get a decision out of him. Next match we got loads of decisions - he's a strange man indeed.

What was the general opinion of the penalty decision for this one then? I saw it on playback so had a couple of looks and have to say it was more than soft in my book. I can't even see a foul at all to be honest. Mind you being a Janner I'm supposed to be chuffed anytime those up the road lose apparently.

I'm at the match this Saturday, so go ahead if you like - another 3 points would be nice. But don't let us down though !! :emoticon-0105-wink:
