Refs and linos are allowed to make mistakes but clubs get treated very differently (unless you are one of the big six)...
Were the officials not taking notes on how many subs were used Isn't Exeter now owned by Hollywood stars who are doing a doco on their ownership
So when are they scheduling the replay of the Sunderland game? or maybe the club should just approach the EFL and ask for a suitable amount of cash compensation the same way FIFA paid cash to ROI following the Thierry Henry handball game......
Why not? We could do with a bit of fixture congestion........ Anyway that was down to the greed of the Blackpool player who wanted to claim the goal as his own.....if he'd left well alone the goal would have been given.......
Quite. It’s a slippery slope if you replay a game because of a wrong offside call, albeit an awful one. The Exeter situation is completely different.
Agreed, Exeter game is completely different. Both teams were told by the officials at the start of the game that they could use five subs in the 90 minutes and an additional one if the game went into an extra 30 minutes which is what Exeter did. Sounds like Bradford also tried to use a sixth sub during extra time but may have been refused. It wasn't until after the game that everything came to light. Agree that Exeter should have known the rules but at the end of the day if you're told by the match officials that it's OK and the fourth official lets you change then.... ThAt's the reason why the FA didn't kick Exeter out, seems a fair decision to me (although very slightly biased) although maybe replay should be on a neutral ground rather than Bradford having to make the 500 mile or so round trip. Exeter is owned by the fans, no Hollywood investment.
In my opinion, if “the rules” are correctly and consistently applied, then the match should be a walkover. As a reference, I use the Legia Warszawa v Rangers match. I attach a link below with the details of the incident: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...reinstated-champions-league-uefa-legia-warsaw In this case, Legia correctly suspended the player (as they should have), but did not report the suspension. Thus, it was "only" a paperwork error. Despite this, UEFA deemed a walk over when he appeared as a sub for the last 4 minutes. It may be tough, but the rules need to applicable to everyone, which is not always the case for the “big boys”. Q.E.D.
I sincerely hope the 4 officials are not involved in a game this weekend.they can't keep being allowed to get away with it.
Thought he was q good, considering he's the guy @ BFC away etc etc. On TV replays ,it looked like Willock was fouling Bradley ,not vice versa. At the ground it looked like a deserved yellow, now i am not so sure. Proves how difficult it can be when they only have one view of it.
