This fixture is quietly going under the wire. Wednesday, 7.45pm at St James Park, a Saints XI will be facing the Exeter City first team, as part of the contract obligations for signing Dan Seaborne. Should be fun, and a workout for youngsters and players like Lee Barnard and Jonathan Forte. I wonder whether Jonno will be too quick for them..? http://www.exetercityfc.co.uk//news/article/southampton-preview-255752.aspx In other news, Coventry City's U18s beat Saints U18s 2-1 this morning. In a thoroughly reasoned response I think SFC is going to the dogs, and there is no hope left. Everybody [and those dogs] OUT..!P People with Saints Player should be able to sign onto Exeter's player for commentary.

Yep. I had to do a quick re-adjustment too. Their colours were/are very close indeed to ours from just 3 seasons back, including sponsor. Of course, we wore crappy hooped socks, but sometimes had to wear the classy looking white.
Starting Line Up: Saints XI (v Exeter): Gazzaniga; Young, Stephens, Seaborne, Dickson; Sinclair, Robinson, Reeves, McQueen; Barnard (C), Hoskins.
Seaborne plays because his transfer stipulates that he must. This match has not been played until because of Seaborne's injury. I'm interested to hear of Paulo playing rush goalie or pinging one to Lambert.

How so? He's been fit the past two pre-seasons not sure why the match is only just being played On another note, slightly surprised to see Gazza/Stephens & Seaborne play (although he probably has to as you say TSS)
First shot of the night falls to Sam Hoskins. His right footed effort at the far post hits the side netting. 0-0.
Gazzaniga makes his first save, clawing behind Davies close-range shot. From the resulting corner, Ben Reeves clears off the line.
