hi guys, im on here today for the match if anyone wants to discuss the game as it goes on. whats your predictions on the score? 3rd vs 2nd bottom. Exeter lost to southend last match, we have two new strikers? away win anyone? or will you be happy to draw? COR
Bristol Rovers line up 38 Etheridge 05 Kenneth 06 Parks 11 Broghammer 19 Virgo 03 Paterson 08 Gill 15 Norburn 07 Clarkson 27 Raven 32 Eaves Substitutes 28 Walker 14 Brown 21 Brown 25 Clucas 26 Lund 10 Richard 16 Anyinsah
21 mins gone and the game has settled down..... Exeter getting plenty of the ball not doing much in the final third. Both new strikers on the field of play would be good if both score today
Great save by Etheridge Cureton well offfside according to commentary. Bo*****s Parkes has picked up his 5th card of the season so he will miss the next match FFS!!
Fleetwood 1 Barnet 1 excellent City still 0-0 Coles misses from a corner If no one comments on this thread I will sign off COR
Whistle blows for end of first half, 1-1, most of the play in Rovers half,Exeter playing nice football however not very effective Cureton FFS the Scorer in stoppage time. Referee missing most of Curetons offsides giving free kicks. Atmosphere sounds rubbish.Rovers need to up the pace in the second half as they under the cosh for long periods of the game. Daggers winning we could do with Wycombe scoring to level the score! COR
A tricky away victory produced a great win for Rovers today, for all the possesion Exeter had they did not produce many clear cut chances, it was always likely that a slip up would provide their best chance to score, it was pretty even in terms of chances created and luckily it was us that took them E.R cutting in to score the vital second goal that won us the game, I thought the main weekness for us was through the middle, we didnt compete well enough which resulted in the defence having to much to do and not enough service to our strikers, get the ball into their feet, and I am sure they will do the business.
What a great day. Great afternoon spent in the beer garden of the Tunnel Inn between Tetbury and Cirencester with my mate and 2 of my boys, Rovers get their first win of the season away at Exeter and the **** lose to Leeds! My mate is a Leeds supporter so we were both happy chappies! Don't really care how we did it, just delighted to get the first win under the belt. Now it's onwards and upwards for the Gas!
We rode our luck today; but we were due a change in fortune. Etheridge made at least two outstanding saves, and the still dangerous Cureton caused us problems all afternoon. They had at least two clear chances which were hit/headed straight at our 'keeper. Kenneth is immense in so many ways, but Virgo's distribution from RB was woeful. Broghammer threatened throughout, and many fans were surprised when he was subbed. We had quite a few bookings which we may well regret as the season progresses. Richards really buzzed when he came on and deserved his goal. About 1,100 Rovers fans there...incredible.
Meh. Sour grapes from you arse monkey. Wife ill so had 2 out of my 3 boys to look after (other was at his mate's) -didn't fancy taking an 15 month old to Exeter! By the way - just saw a quality layoff by Fontaine to Diouf! Keep up the good work Liam!
Sounds like our luck may be turning 49er. Kenneth does indeed seem like a fabulous signing - I'm sure that the 'Teds would love a quality CB like him!! How did the rest of the Scottish mafia play? Obviously Clarky scored, but how was Riordan?
Riordan was a bit like Clarkson was a few matches ago. You could see glimpses of quality but you also saw that this was his first game since last season! Paterson again was solid...does what he has to do.
well played gas your season starts here. by the way is the tunnel inn anywhere near the trouble house inn, twixt tetbury and ciren. i used to live near badminton. keep it up gas, winning at exeter is no mean acheivment!
Yes it is AJ - a few miles past the Trouble House. Down a dirt track so difficult to find, but very nice once you do
I think I hace been there BB. In the middle of nowhere near the old canal tunnel?? Pretty good beer and food if that's the same place.
Yep same place Sapphire. It's on the Thames canal which runs through the tunnel and then underground for a mile. Lovely food - the wild boar steak was terrific!
Dirt track, wild boar, out in the sticks, is this place called the Slaughtered Lamb hooooowwwwwlllllllllll Great result yesterday and over a thousand Gasheads made the trip, ****ing awesome support as always. God bless the Blue Army. Bring on Cheltenham Our season has started.
