According to latest rumours collected in exclusive by TMW, Sunderland management have just tried to sign Italian international forward Lorenzo Insigne (22) from Napoli. Black Cats manager, Paolo Di Canio, is still keen on several Serie A players, but at the time the player has refused such a chance, despite a significant annual fee raise offered to him. Insigne is currently on a deal with Azzurri until June 2017.

Even I've heard of him. My optimism for next season is growing by the minute.

A quality signing indeed - scored some great goals and could provide some comical goal celebrations and weird hair styles a la jibril cisse ;)
    How much does he cost?

Insigne is awesome. If we get him I'll be ecstatic. Not sure if we will though, he is a Napoli fan, from Naples, playing for his own club.

He is absolute top drawer. It would be an unbelievable coup if we could sign him. Easily worth double the fee we have bid

Load of bollocks that, like. Exclusive my arse. Recycling reports from a couple of days ago... (our efforts were rebuffed and the player himself didn't want the move)

    Wouldn't hold my breath...

Edit: tmw are probably just itk pricks

Not going to happen lads, the last thing Napoli need to do is sell, their president said Rafa had £164 million to spend yesterday! haha

Not a player we need to spend £6M on anyways (Right back/Left back/Creative CM)

He reminds me of Roberto Baggio. Bags of flair and very direct. This is the one player I would gladly sell Sessegnon to fund the move (I base that simply on the fact that this guy has many more years left in him where as Sess probably has another 2-3 at the very top level).
